09.28.09 Music news

This week in the music world
For the 3rd week in a row Alice in Chains still has the number one album, that’s good for them! I have Some Sad news in the Beatles world, though, the lady who inspired the Song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds passed away from an autoimmune disease. Sufjan Stevens played a show and talked about his new album. Portishead is going into the studio to record a new album. And that’s pretty much it, there wasn’t much going on this week. Also today Hanson starts there new tour.

Music News 09.21.09

This week in Music!
This week’s number one album is again The New Divide by Alice in Chains, followed by Pearl Jam’s The Fixer. Vampire weekend announced that they will have a new Album out in the coming year, also Muse’s new video “Uprising” is getting many thumbs up from critics and fans alike. The Bravery’s Sam Endicott swears off all television and twitter saying it is “negative force in his life.” Twilights Fans around the world rejoiced upon hearing that the New Moon soundtrack is to have great mainstream and indie artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver and St. Vincent, Lykke Li, Sea Wolf and Ok Go just to name a few. I, personally, can’t wait to hear Bon Iver and St Vincent together! Finally I saved the happiest news for last, Ben Gibbard, the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie and Actress/Lead singer of She and Him, Zooey Deshanel tied the knot this past weekend.
